The #42 Twine Size knotted HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) netting includes all deluxe features, making it suitable for youth through commercial Batting Cage applications. It fits the typical batting cage square seen at most parks and fields, with the netting hung on a square that absorbs the impact of the balls over several meshes, preventing high spots that can accelerate wear.

The UV and weather protection is embedded during the extrusion process, not a coating that will flake off over time. This ensures a batting cage net life expectancy of 8 to 10 years.

When choosing a twine size, we recommend going with the largest you can afford. A #42 Twine net is about twice as thick and twice as strong as a #21 Twine, resulting in better ball snagging, improved appearance, better wear, and a longer lifespan. The minimum tensile strength you should consider is 60 lbs.

Square mesh netting is a better choice than diamond mesh, as it is more durable and provides better performance. Our Posi-lock stitching process tightly weaves a cord around the rope and the net, creating the strongest possible bond between the two, preventing the rope from pulling away or out of the panels.
